Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure

Memorial Plastic Surgery is proud to announce its return to this year’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. Join our top leading plastic surgeons, Dr. Patrick Hsu, Kendall Roehl, and Dr. Mohan, together with our entire team on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Sam Houston Park in Downtown Houston. This year’s race marks Memorial Plastic Surgery’s third consecutive year participating at the annual event.

Every year, thousands of cities across the world come together to fight breast cancer through the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. The event raises funds for educational programs and initiatives that enable women to seek treatment and other services such as free screenings for cancer.

Continuous Breast Cancer Advocacy

Susan G. Komen is a non-profit foundation that has spent the last three decades promoting breast cancer research and education in the United States. The organization was established following the death of Nancy Goodman Brinker’s sister in 1982 and in the time since the foundation has spent over a billion dollars providing support and outreach to women all over the world.

Last year’s Race for The Cure® was delayed to the following January due to the floods that plagued the city of Houston during the fall. With two successful races, Memorial Plastic Surgery eagerly awaits this October’s event.

“The Race for the Cure® is an event that brings the entire city of Houston together for a single goal. Just imagine being a woman in the middle of her fight against breast cancer? That support can really go a long way,” shares Dr. Kendall Roehl.

“This October marks the third time Memorial Plastic Surgery joins the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®,” says Dr. Patrick Hsu. “The event is always a great chance for the community to come together as one. It’s going to be great to see everyone again, breast cancer survivors and friends alike.”

“I am incredibly thrilled to be part of this year’s Race for the Cure®,” shares Dr. Kriti Mohan. “Every year, this event brings communities together to provide support and reassurance to women who struggle with breast cancer.”
